New Post
Hi friends,
Thank you for signing up to receive book news from me!
Tomorrow, I’ll be doing an online event with the New York Public Library, which is a dream! You can still sign up here. I’m really excited to be in conversation with Ricci Yuhico, Managing Librarian of Young Adult Services, who was named one of Six New Yorkers Who Made the City a Better, Cooler, Fairer Place in 2023 by the New York Times! (Event starts at 11:00 am EST).
I’m looking forward to speaking at some very cool bookish events this spring. I’ll be at the Pittsburgh Festival of Books, the Hudson Festival of Books, and Kweli Journal’s The Color of Children’s Literature Conference. You can register now and please tell me if you’re going!
My sophomore novel, Eighteen Roses, comes out July 30th. Eighteen Roses is about an antisocial aspiring standup comedian attempting to make friends before her 18th birthday party. Don’t forget to pre-order from your favorite local indie or Bookshop.org :) Do you review books? Early reader copies are available on NetGalley!
That’s all I’ve got for now. Hope you’re well and taking good care,
Shannon
